Limited Sight Horse Loves Her Mud Slab Install

Customer Mud Slab Install

This couple ordered up 10 slabs to help extend their hard standing out from the run-in entrance.  The water would drip off the roof causing a mucky mess just outside the doorway.  The horse who occupies this area is mostly blind so they wanted a safe transition up into the barn.

To create a smooth transition they scraped away the muck with a tractor bucket, laid down the slabs and back filled with some left over gravel they had.  The transition from dirt paddock to slabs to shed is seamless!  Their horse Klu gave the new footing a good sniff and walked right on.  No longer does she have muddy back feet when standing in the shed!

  1. Yes, this is what we accomplished yesterday! Our Appaloosa mare, Klu, is a former competitive partner who is now nearly completely blind. She has a home for life and we want her as comfortable as possible.
